Email Marketing
A well-targeted email campaign is a great way to keep in contact and engage your customers or clients. Email marketing is not just about one-way communication from your business to your customer. It is about creating a channel of communication and connecting with your readers. By providing your customer with a means to contact you, this can help generate more sales and more respect for your brand.
One of the frustrations with many marketing activities, is that it can be very hard to tell what is working and what is just costing money. When you conduct email marketing with a good email marketing system, you can see very quickly what is working and what is not through some detailed reports.
Other considerations we respect when designing our email marketing solutions:
Permission Marketing
When designing your email marketing system, we use the permission marketing model. This model works on the principle that you “only contact customers who want to be contacted”. This has proven to be a successful technique, and it means that you are more likely to convert these customers rather than contact people cold. The way this works is that every recipient you collect should have opted-in (or have been a recent customer who understands that they may be contacted). This can be as simple as including an opt-in checkbox on an enquiry form or simply asking them personally.
Keeping Emails Lightweight
When sending out bulk emails, it is important for us to keep in mind that the email will be open to critique by any number of spam filters that may be in use by your audience. Images, in particular, are a flag for most spam filters that an email may be spam. Therefore, we try and keep the amount of imagery used in email campaigns to a minimum, without compromising the impact of your message.
Email Clients
On average, a marketing email can be read by up to a dozen different email clients, each of which interpret HTML emails in a different manner. It takes a lot of time and skill to write HTML emails that work for the majority of readers. For those readers who simply cannot open the email with their email software (e.g. if they are using a new program or reading from a mobile device), it is possible to include a link to a version of the email to be read from a web page.
