Miss Leuki’s birthday
Over the past year, Indigo Web have been involved in assisting with promotion of the Miss Leuki concept which was created as a fundraising program by Kialla Pure Foods. Miss Leuki originally started as an internal fundraising effort but has since spread her wings, travelling to the far reaches of the globe.
In September Miss Leuki celebrated her first birthday with a generous donation to The Leukaemia Foundation.
A note from the Kialla team:
As company mascot, Miss Leuki (Leuki) says good bye to Kialla and Aus Organics staff and all the wonderful friends made over the past year as she moves on from Greenmount, which has been her home for the past year.
During this year Leuki has made 58 friends on Facebook with 3 being from overseas. She has been fortunate to have Bank of Queensland and Indigo Web as corporate friends whom have helped sponsor and raise her corporate profile.
Leuki has travelled overseas with Quentin Kennedy (Managing Director) and Nick Watson (Marketing Manager) to Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and New Zealand. Within Australia she has travelled with Rob Wilson (National Grain Buyer) to outback Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania and all over the eastern states. As face book friends you all would have enjoyed some of the many pictures from these travels.
Leuki was warmly welcomed by Kialla’s and Aus Organic Feeds clients, suppliers and growers.
Among her close group of friends though are the staff members of both Kialla and Aus Organic Feeds whom have supported her concept adoption and have included her in all social on site and off site celebrations.
Throughout the year the donations continued and Leuki was very excited about exactly how much was being raised and could not wait for the BBQ held 23rd September 2011 for the final total to be announced.
Phoebe Mitchel – Regional Events Coordinator for the Darling Downs & South West Qld area was at the BBQ to accept the donation on behalf of the Leukaemia Foundation.
Leuki throughout this year had raised $1022.00. With the generous matching of dollar for dollar by Kialla Pure Foods, the total donation to the Leukaemia Foundation was $2050.00.
What a fantastic and generous effort from all the staff, clients, suppliers, growers and friends of Miss Leuki.
There was one last event that Leuki had to attend, Light the Night 2011. Choosing to attend the Toowoomba venue, Leuki attended with some of the Kialla staff and friends to support Kris and Geoff Arthy as they remembered Nicola who passed away in September 2009 and others who have been touched by leukaemia, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders.« Back to Lab
